Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the conditions for using Anime Sync ("the Service") and the relationship between the operator ([Operator name (TBD)], "we"/"us") and users. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all relationships between us and users regarding the use of the Service.

2. Account registration

Using certain features of the Service requires authentication via a Google account or via a login code sent to your email address.

You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information and are responsible for safeguarding your own credentials.

3. Fees and paid plans

The Service is available free of charge during the beta period.

The paid "Premium" plan (planned at ¥200/month) will be governed by separate terms and pricing defined at launch, and is unavailable until then.

4. Prohibited conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals;
place an excessive load on the Service's servers or network, or attempt unauthorized access;
copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Service;
impersonate others or infringe the rights of others;
engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate.

5. User content

Watch records, ratings (★), comments, notes, and similar content you create on the Service ("User Content") belong to you.

We may use User Content to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

If you use the ranking share feature, some of your User Content will be made public through a hard-to-guess URL as a result of your own action.

6. Intellectual property

Broadcast data shown in the Service is based on Shobi Calendar, and title data on Annict and similar sources. Rights to each data set belong to their respective rights holders.

7. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change the content of the Service, or suspend or terminate it, without prior notice to users.

8. Disclaimer

The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of broadcast/streaming information or any other information. Availability and streaming status follow the rules of each broadcaster and streaming provider.

The Service is provided as is. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Suspension and account deletion

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or delete your account without prior notice.

You may withdraw at any time. Withdrawal or account deletion removes the data associated with that account.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as needed. Revised Terms take effect once posted on the Service.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of [court (TBD)].
